A DIFFERENT WAY TO LEARN
At Different Angle, every session is designed to be enjoyable, supportive, and tailored to the individual. We believe that fishing should be accessible and rewarding for every child, no matter their experience, ability, or confidence level.

We offer 1-to-1 coaching and small group sessions, allowing our instructors to give each pupil the time, patience, and guidance they need to grow, both in skill and in self-belief.
During lessons, pupils learn:

-
How to handle fishing equipment safely and responsibly
-
The basics of baiting, casting, and landing fish
-
How to read water conditions and understand fish behaviour
-
Respect for wildlife and care for the natural world

Every session takes place in a safe, calm, and well-supervised environment, led by experienced instructors who specialise in working with pupils who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Our goal is simple - to help every child discover their potential, enjoy the outdoors, and build confidence.
WORKING WITH SCHOOLS
Different Angle partners with primary and secondary schools across Hampshire to deliver tailored fishing experiences that support both curriculum goals and personal development.

We understand the challenges schools face in engaging pupils with a range of needs and learning styles, particularly those who may struggle in traditional classroom settings. Fishing offers a unique, therapeutic outdoor alternative that promotes focus, responsibility, and emotional wellbeing.
We can provide:

-
Regular sessions as part of school wellbeing or outdoor learning programmes
-
One-off enrichment days or reward experiences
-
Small group interventions for pupils with SEMH needs or low engagement
-
Reports and feedback to help track progress and outcomes

Our team works closely with SENCOs, pastoral staff, and teachers to ensure each session aligns with the school’s objectives and the individual needs of pupils.
Together, we can create meaningful outdoor experiences that help young people grow.
